Kevin Jai-Hua Yen
Hi, I’m Kevin! You can also call me Jai-Hua (嘉華). Welcome to my page!
I am a second-year Biostatistics Ph.D. candidate at the University at Buffalo working with Dr. Douglas Landsittel. My current research interests include explainable and statistical machine learning on longitudinal analysis, causal inference, and computer vision.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I served as a Senior AI Software Engineer at QNAP. There, I specialized in training computer vision models for image classification and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), deploying zero-shot vision-language models (like CLIP), and optimizing these models for edge AI runtimes.
